Is the Mini Cart a Side Cart for WooCommerce?

Yes. Set Cart Type to Slide Cart for a full-height side cart that slides in from the right or left, either over the page or pushing it aside. The same module also offers a dropdown, a centered modal, and a fullscreen cart, so you don't need a separate side cart plugin.

Can Shoppers Change Quantities and Apply Coupons in the Mini Cart?

Yes. The quantity stepper updates the cart live and stops at available stock. Turn on Coupon Field to add a "Have a coupon?" link, and applied codes show as chips while the subtotal drops, with the original struck through beside it.

Does the Mini Cart Show Shipping and Taxes?

No. The panel footer shows the subtotal, with any coupon discount applied. Shipping and taxes appear at checkout.

Does the Mini Cart Work on Mobile?

Yes. Hover dropdowns switch to tap on touch screens, and Design settings can be set per device. Switch Buttons Layout to Stacked on phones so View cart and Checkout each get the full width.

Do I Need the Mini Cart Manager Extension?

No. The Mini Cart module works on its own, with all four cart types, the quantity stepper, the coupon field, and the floating button. Mini Cart Manager is optional and adds site-wide rules for opening and closing the cart, plus a ready-made cart for pages without the module.

Can I Add a Cart to Every Page Without Placing the Module?

Yes. Turn on Mini Cart Manager, then turn on Show cart without placing the module under Configure → Cart Panel, and Divi's header cart icon opens a cart on every page. This ready-made cart uses DiviMerc's standard styling with your own title, buttons, and labels. For full design control, place the Mini Cart module, which takes over on that page automatically.

Where Should I Add the Mini Cart Module?

Add it to your Theme Builder Global Header, so the cart is on every page. The module only works on pages where it's placed.

Does the Mini Cart Open Automatically When a Product Is Added?

Yes, whenever a product is added without a page reload, since Open When Item Added is on by default. On product pages, turn on AJAX Add to Cart in the Advanced Add to Cart module, which ships off. On shop pages, tick WooCommerce's AJAX add to cart setting for archives. Grouped products always reload the page, so they don't open the cart.

Can I Open the Cart From My Own Button, a Menu Link, or a URL?

Yes. Give any button, icon, or menu item the CSS class divimerc-minicart-open, and turn on Hide Trigger Button if you don't want the module's own button. Turn on Intercept cart page links in Mini Cart Manager so menu links to the Cart page open the mini cart. Any URL ending in #minicart or containing ?minicart=open opens the cart as the page loads.

Can the Cart Close on Its Own?

Yes, with Mini Cart Manager. Set Auto close after to any value from 1 to 60 seconds, or leave it at 0 to keep the cart open. You can also choose whether Esc or a click outside closes it, and keep the dropdown open on scroll for sticky headers.

Does the Mini Cart Show on the Cart and Checkout Pages?

Not by default, since those pages already show the cart, so the whole module, header button included, stays hidden there. Turn off Disable on cart & checkout pages in Mini Cart Manager to show it.
